Communication Therapy at ASK Therapy Services is motivating and engaging, and often involves movement.  We offer the following services to clients of all ages:

Voice Therapy:

  • Techniques such as SPEAK OUT!, and the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT LOUD) help improve vocal intensity and clarity for our clients with diagnoses such as Parkinson’s.
  • Exercises to strengthen vocal cords and improve breath support.

Articulation and Speech Clarity Enhancing intelligibility for clients with developmental delays or disorders due to stroke or brain injury :

  • Articulation Delays
  • Phonological Disorders

  • Apraxia
  • Fluency Disorders

    Language Disorders and Delays : Enhancing communication efficiency for clients with language developmental delays or due to a disorder following stroke.

    • Expressive Language Disorders
    • Receptive Language Disorders
    • Early Intervention
    • Gestalt Language Processors

      Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC): For preverbal clients, or to facilitate language for clients who have had a stroke or other diseases.

      • Use of devices or apps for those who may need assistance in expressing themselves.
      • Device Training: Individuals and caregivers trained on AAC use
      • Integration: Using AAC in functional daily activities to improve communication, promote independence, and enhance social interactions, helping individuals express themselves more effectively.
      • Continuous Support: Adjustments made to the AAC plan as the individual’s needs evolve.
